World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.
For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.
The player can have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will increase after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 whenever you can.
You will often find in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
The use of a Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may be more expensive even if you don't require it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. item upgrades rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrade r NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to go to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses listed above.
